Monterey Car Week 2025, spanning August 8 to August 17, concluded with a vibrant celebration of automotive history on California’s Monterey Peninsula, drawing collectors, enthusiasts, and industry leaders for ten days of car shows, rallies, races, and auctions. The week’s events, culminating in the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, showcased a blend of vintage classics, modern supercars, and new additions, reinforcing Monterey’s place as a premier automotive destination.

The week opened with the Monterey Car Week Kick-Off on August 8, where 30 historic race cars lined Alvarado Street for a free public display. The Monterey Pre-Reunion and Corkscrew Hillclimb at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca set the stage for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, held August 14 to 16, featuring over 300 vintage race cars, including Formula 1 models. New events added fresh appeal: the Central Coast Poker Rally on August 11 showcased 90 cars, including Ferraris and Porsches, while Woodies in the Woods on August 14 presented 50 vintage Ford station wagons. The Automobilia Collectors Expo and Auction, held August 11 to 13, featured rare memorabilia like Donald Osborne’s tin toy collection and Laguna Seca artifacts.

Auctions were once again a highlight, with the Broad Arrow Jet Center Auction on August 14 and 15 generating $57.4 million and setting eight world records. Standout sales included three Japanese performance icons from our sister company Sandbox Motors:. Other auctions, including RM Sotheby’s, which achieved $161.2 million, and Mecum, featured vehicles like a 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra and a 2019 McLaren Senna. The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering on August 15 unveiled new models like Lexus’s Sport Concept, blending innovation with luxury.

The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance on August 17 capped the week, with over 200 vehicles from 16 countries competing in classes celebrating the centennials of Invicta, Chrysler, and Moretti, alongside 75 years of Formula 1 and 60 years of the Shelby Cobra 427. The event raised significant funds for local charities, continuing its legacy of impact. Free events like Legends of the Autobahn and Monterey British broadened access, showcasing German and British marques.
